He is Gone.

I know he will leave soon,
bringing with him my care and smile.
It saddened me.
I'm alone and with no one to talk to.

He left, he just left.
He left with a girl kissing her as soon as he sees her.
He brought with him a part of mine,
which left me with missing pieces much more like a puzzle.

All my strengths are gone;
he brought it with him.
I feel like crying because I don't know what to do.
I lost my strength to move on, to go on.

And here I am, sitting with nothing to hold on to.
When he left I lost myself. :'(

He is Here.

I don't know his name.
I don't know how old he is.
I don't know what kind of person he is.
But all I know is that he is the light of the dark rainy day;
and whoever he is will still be the smile of my eyes.
Strengthen me up when I'm alone.
Give me the courage to be not afraid.
An inspiration to go on and is the electricity that wakens up my whole system.
I felt the lost of the air when my eyes can't reach him.
He is the only reason why I want to move on and I don't know what else will happen if he leaves.
I'm very contented seeing him from a far.
Looking at him as if there is no tomorrow.
Because I know that anytime, he will leave.
But whenever I lose a sight of him, I don't know where am I going to get all this strength.
I can't pursue myself to go on because he is the reason why I'm still going on. :'(

"Genevieve"

She came to this world
With a cry
That broke
The tranquil
Blanket of dawn
Into the arms
Of loving parents
Who could just smile
With relief
That one more
Bundle of joy
Will add warmth
To their life
And their home.
Once thought to be sickly
She grew
Into a beauty
With chinky eyes
And dusky tone
Of smooth skin
Silky hair
And a smile
That can put
One at ease
Though
A little bit shy.
At a young age
She seems to know
How she would tackle life
What to do
And
Where to go.
Diligently she immerses herself
Into what
She’s being taught
Buries her head
Into her books
But still finds time to play
As at the age of nine
Year of 1999
She has to give in
To her childish
Cravings and desires.
So, this is Genevieve
Just one of the budding youth
Who hopes
To someday
Be part
Of a healthy world.

- a poem made by my godfather for me when I was young. :)

This Nation Can Be Great Again by Ferdinand E. Marcos

Each generation writes his own history. Our forbears have written theirs. With fortitude and excellence we must write ours.
We must renew the vision of greatness for our country. This is a vision of our people rising above the routine to face formidable challenges and overcome them. It means the rigorous pursuit of excellence.
It is a government that acts as the guardian of the law’s majesty, the source of justice to the weak and solace to the underprivileged a ready friend and protector of the common man and a sensitive instrument of his advancement and not captivity.
This vision rejects and discards the inertia of centuries.
It is a vision of the jungles opening up to the farmer’s tractor and plow, and the wilderness claimed for agriculture and the support of human life; the mountains yielding their boundless treasure, rows of factories turning the harvests of our fields into a thousand products.
It is the transformation of the Philippines into a hub of progress – of trade and commerce in Southeast Asia.
It is our people bravely determining our own future. For to make the future is the supreme act of the free.
This is a vision that all of you share for our country’s future. It is a vision which can and should, engage the energies of the nation. This vision must touch the deeper layers of national vitality and energy.
We must awake the hero inherent in every man.
We must harness the wills and the hearts of all our people. We must find the secret chords which turn ordinary men into heroes, mediocre fighters into champions.
Not one hero alone do I ask from you – but many; nay all. I ask all of you to be the heroes of our nation.
Offering all our efforts to our Creator, we must drive ourselves to greatness.
This is your dream and mine. By your choice you have committed yourselves to it. Come then, let us march together towards the dream of greatness.
